On the morning of Sunday, Feb. 17, the UNI Office of Public Safety issued a campus-wide email stating that a rape had occurred over the weekend.

The incident occurred early Sunday at approximately 1:45 a.m. in an on-campus parking lot. The assault was committed by a male the student met earlier in the evening.

The only person responsible for sexual assault is the perpetrator.
