On the evening of Thursday, Aug. 29, the UNI Office of Public Safety issued a campus-wide email stating that a rape had occurred on campus.

The incident occurred late Thursday at approximately 12:00 a.m. in an on-campus residence hall. The assault was committed by an acquaintance.

The only person responsible for sexual assault is the perpetrator.
