The results are in for Northern Iowa Student Government (NISG) elections.
Lizbeth Montalvo and Joshua Walsh have won the race for student body president and vice president. According to NISG Chief Justice Aaron Burger, a record number of UNI students participated in this election, with 1,038 votes cast – the largest amount in the past five years. Montalvo and Walsh received 732 votes to secure their win.
In regards to the Senate race, Brayden Helter earned a seat as a representative for the College of Business.
Trina Tounjian, Geneva Bell, Gabriel Salazar, and James Carolus were elected to represent the College of Humanities, Arts and Sciences.
Cooper Messina and Brenden Finely were elected to represent the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
