JOSUE VILLATORO, Staff Writer
I am a sophomore majoring in Digital Media Production and a minor in Theater. I’ve been working for the Northern Iowan since January of 2024 as a Staff Writer, Film Critic, and Photographer. As of Winter 2024, I have taken up the position of Videographer for our show, The College Eye Broadcast. Being a part of this organization has developed my skills in writing, enhanced my critical thinking significantly, and has given me the opportunity to further develop my love for media exploration. I have passion for film, writing, music, acting, and overall, love discovering new aspects amongst the arts. Media literacy, accuracy, and storytelling are the two of the most important aspects to me when it comes to the work I conduct as a part of this organization. Outside of the NI, I am a member of the Varsity Men’s Glee Club, actively attend Salt Company Ministry, enjoy vintage music and fashion, and love watching movies and making them as well. Feel free to contact me about anything, whether it’s film review suggestions, to chat, or any other potential stories. A good story is one that opens the eyes to a new perspective.
